Transition from Pediatrician to Professional Artist: A Journey of Passion and Mastery

After dedicating 35 years to the noble profession of pediatric medicine within the NHS, I found myself drawn to a long-standing passion for the visual arts. This profound desire to explore and express my creative side led me to pursue a BA in Fine Arts at the prestigious University of London.

During my studies, I immersed myself in the diverse and dynamic world of conceptual art, experimenting with various media to find my artistic voice. This exploration allowed me to engage with a wide array of artistic techniques and ideas, ultimately guiding me towards a medium that resonated deeply with my personal style and vision: oil painting.

In my artistic practice, I have chosen to focus on realism, a style that aligns with my admiration for the Old Masters and their timeless techniques. I have honed my skills in both traditional and alla prima methods, striving to capture the richness of life and the subtleties of human experience.

My work is heavily influenced by the places I have traveled to and the diverse experiences I have encountered throughout my life. Each piece I create is an attempt to convey the beauty, complexity, and emotion of these moments, translating my inner visions into tangible, visual narratives.

As an artist, I am committed to continuing this journey of exploration and expression, using my art to connect with others and share the stories that have shaped me.
